          The details of estimation of FCA rate for July, 2000 - March, 2001 considering actuals for quarter ending June 2.000, alongwith a self explanatory note on the proposed methodology was submitted to the Hon'ble Commission vide letter No-MERC/FCA/32865 dated 14-8-2000 for approval. Approval of MERC on this proposal is still awaited.

          Now, in continuation thereof and as directed by the Commission in its order of 5-5-2000, data relating to FCA for the quarter ending September, 2000 alongwith estimation of FCA rate for October, 2000 - March, 2001 is submitted herewith. As October and November is already over, the FCA will be charged for the consumption in the month of December 2000 and onwards.
          FCA rate for December 2000 to March 2001 has been computed on the following
basis:

1)          The actual generation and purchase for the period May, 2000 to September,___ 2000 is deducted from the figures adopted for May, 2000 March, 2001 based on MERC approval (Statement 1) to arrive at the generation and purchase for the period October, 2000 - March, 2001.
