It
is learnt from our field officers that commencement
of supply to some consumer is delayed on account of
non-execution of agreement for supply although the
terms and conditions for supply were agreed to by
the parties, due to the stamped agreement forms being
not readily available and that generally considerable
time is
lost in getting stamped copies of blank agreement
forms for execution with consumers. This results in
loss of revenue to the Board and inconvenience to
the consumers. Therefore in order to avoid loss of
revenue and difficulty to the consumers, it is decided
to commence supply to such consumers provided they
give a written undertaking in the form given below.
Undertaking.
in lieu of Agreement for supply.
Dear
Sir,
We
have considered the agreement for supply and the terms
and conditions thereof and also the conditions of
supply. We are agreeable to take the supply from you
on the said termsand conditions and in token of our
Ex agreement we have initialled the agreement as well
as the conditions of supply pending execution of proper
stamped agreement.
Yours
faithfully
However
to safeguard the Board's position, the agreement for
supply to such consumers should be executed within
six months from the date of such undertaking to avoid
any possible troubles or litigation on this account.
The date of commencement of supply to be stated in
the agreement would be the original date of commencement
of supply given on the strength of the undertaking.
On receipt of stamped agreement forms preference should
be given for execution
of agreement with consumers served on the strength
of such undertaking and only after such agreements
have been executed should the remaining stamped forms
be used for entering into agreements with other consumers,
All
the field officers are requested to take note of and
follow the above.
