Uptil
now draft copies of H.T., L.T. and street lighting
agreements, printed in English were being sent to
the prospective L.T. and
H.T. consumers, Gram Panchayats, Municipalties etc.
for their approval. However, from the experience it
has been observed that a large number of persons do
not have adequate knowledge of English and as such
they do not realise the implications and commitments
involved in executing the required agreement with
the Board. It is, therefore, felt necessary to get
these forms (L.T. and street lighting) translated
into Marathi for the purpose of their understanding
the contents of the same and not for actual execution
which will be done in the English form only as hitherto.
Ten copies each of the Marathi version of the H.T.,
L.T. and street lighting agreement forms are enclosed
herewith. Additional copies may be made at your end
according to your requirements. Hereafter a Marathi
copy of the relevant form of the agreement should
be sent to the parties alongwith the English copy
of the draft agreement for their approval, so that
they fully grasp the implications of the various clauses
and stipulations detailed therein. It should however
be particularly brought to the attention of the concerned
parties whenever Marathi copes are supplied to them
that these are meant only for their guidance, and
the provisions of agreement form in English which
will be used for execution will be final and blinding.
