Sub : Levy of electricity duty on Temporary supply.

It has been clarified by the State Government in respect of levying of electricity duty on temporary supply that part E of the schedule to the Bombay Electricity Duty Act, 1958 is applicable to temporary supply for exhibitions or entertainments only. The temporary supply for lighting loads and for motive power loads will be covered by that part only if such supply forms a part of the exhibition or entertainment or for preparation thereof and if such supply is made by the licensee under its temporary tariff rates and provided further that when the shaw is completely disbanded no trace of property is behind.
