A
copy of the Bombay Electricity Duty Amendment Act, 1963,
coming into force with effect from 1 st June 1963, is
sent herewith for information and guidance.
It
may be noted that as per section 9, sub-section (b)
of the Amendment Act, 1963, the rates of electricity
duty in part G of the Schedule have been revised as
follows:
In respect
of premises used by an industrial undertaking for
consumption of energy therein (excluding any part
thereof used for residential, Commercial or office
purpose) and for studio lighting.
