Change
of name /Ownership of Installations.
|
|
In
order to facilitate the change of name/ownership of
Installations without undue delay, the Superintending
Engineers in the field have been authorised vide circular
No.48 issued under No. PR-3/9822 dated 1.3.61 to approve
the changes. With a view to avoid any complications
that may arise in such changes and to have uniformity
in this regard the following procedure should be followed.
(A)
Where the Outgoing consumer is available:

(i)
|
The
applicants should be asked to submit a joint application
for transfer of service connection as per form
X attached and a
written undertaking obtained from the incoming
consumer as per form Y attached.

(ii)
|
The
incoming consumer should fill in and sign the
A-1 application form of the Board.
|
(iii)
|
Before the transfer is actually effected, the
outgoing consumer should pay up all the arrears
outstanding, if any, otherwise the
transferee would become liable to pay the same.

(iv)
|
Wherever necessary, fresh security deposit against
payment of energy bills and/or hiring of Board's
apparatus should be
collected from the incoming consumer.

(B)
Where the outgoing consumer after sale is not
available due to death or otherwise.
|
|
The applicant i.e., the
incoming consumer should be asked to submit an
application as per Form X with an affidavit (declaration
before a magistrate) as perform Z together with
other relevant supporting documents like death
certificate, sale-deed etc. In case the where-abouts
of the outgoing consumer are not known, the same
should be stated in the afidavit referred to above
which fact should be verified by local enquiry.
The
rest of the procedure to be followed will be
on similar lines as indicated under (A) above.
In
respect of the loads sanctioned by Government
in the area where power supply is being controlled
byGovernment, the procedureas may have been
prescribed by government in this connection
should also be followed,.
