Due
to non-availablility of 3 phase 4 wire energy meters
which are to be imported, 3 phase 3 wire meters are
sometimes being used for metering the consumption
of agricultural consumers. The 3 phase 3 wire meters
cannot record the lighting consumption made by one
lamp of upto 40W allowed for use as pertariff LTP/Ag.
The field officers are therefore, requested to offer
the following options for the purpose of billing the
lighting consumption to the agricultural consumers
where 3 phase 3 wire meters are provided.
(a)
Either to accept the billing of lighting consumptuin
at the rate 12 units per month during the period energy
is consumed by the pruping load.
or
(b) to accept the billing of the actual lighting consumption
in which case, the consurner will have to provide
his own single phase energy meter for the purpose.
Such
consumer may further be informed that in the absence
of any option not being intimated by tem, to the local
office of the Board, option at (a) will be deemed
to have been exercised by them and the billing of
lighting consumption would be done accordingly.
All
the Superintending Engineers in charge of Circles
are requested to ensure immediate compliance of the
above instructions within their jurisdiction.
