Departmental Circular No. 77
(Commercial)

Sub  :
Electricity Duty Exemption from payment of in the
premises occupied by all foreign Trade Commissioners.


        A reference is invited to the Departmental Circular No.65 (Commercial) issued vide No.PG-32/3 dt. 2.1.1965 forwarding a copy of Govt. Notification No.ELD- 1763/109281/Elec.1 dtd: 17.11.64 under which the consumption of energy in the premises occupied by all foreign Consular Missions and Consular Officers in the State of Maharashtra is exempted from the payment of Electricity Duty with effect from 1-11-1964.

        Government has further clarified vide letter No.ELD/1 765/47192- ElecI dated 21.9.1965 (copy enclosed) that the above exemption is not admissible to foreign Government Trade Commissioners. All the officers are requested to note the above clarification for necessary action.
