Several references are being received by this office from the field officers, requesting to state whether a particular Bank is an approved bank for the purpose of accepting Bank Guarantee or not. It is therefore necessary in order to minimise references to this office in this connection to supply a list of approved Banks by the Board for the purpose to all the filed officers. Accordingly an upto date list of Banks approved by the Board for the purpose of accepting Bank Guarantee from Contractors/Suppliers/Consumers/ is sent herewith for information and guidance. It is once more clarified that the Bank Guarantee should be accepted from any of the Banks mentioned in the list and not from any other Banks.

       It may also be noted that if Bank Guarantee of any other than one included in the accompanied list is duly endorsed by the S.B. of India the same may be accepted as valid.
