Electricity Duty-payment of  Instructions to local bodies.


In continuation of this office circular No. 55 issued under reference No. PG-12/44251 dated: 12.9.1961, 1 am to enclose herewith a copy of Government letter No. ELD-1763/116702-Elec. I dated: 19.11-1965 on the above subject for information and necessary action in the matter.

In future the certificates as envisaged In Head Office circular No. 55 referred to above may not be accepted and the exemption from levy of Electricity Duty should be allowed only if a separate meter is installed for purpose of recording the units consumed in Government Offices for office purposes.
