Collection
of Security Deposits. |
|
The
amounts of Security Deposit are to be collected from
the Board's consumers including Semi Government Undertakings
and statutory bodies ata the rates given below. Government
Departments. Municipalities, Local Authorities including
Zilla Parlshad and Licensees are however exempted
from payment of Security Deposit. Semi Government
Undertakings and statutory bodies run on commercial
lines are not exempted from payment of Security Deposit
and the same are to be collected from them at the
prescribed rates.
Scale of Security Deposits:
1. H.T. Consumers:

For the extimated monthly bill upto Rs. 1,000/- |
Security
Deposit equivalent to
three months' estimated bill. |
| (2) |
For
the estimated monthly bill above Rs.1,000/- but
not more than Rs. 5,000/ |
Security
Deposit equivalent to two months estimated bill. |
| (3) |
For the estimated monthly bill above Rs. 5,000/-
but over Rs.25,000/- |
Security
Deposit equivalent to one months eltimated bill. |

For
the estimated monthly bill over Rs.25,000/- and
upto Rs. 1lakh. |
90%
of the estimated monthly bill aubject to a minimum
of Rs.25,000/- |

For
the estimated monthly bill over Rs. 1 Lakh and
upto Rs.2 Lakhs. |
80%
of estimated monthly bill sub- ject to a minimum
of Rs.90,000/- |
| (6) |
For
the estimated monthly bill over Rs. 2 Lakhs. |
70%
of the estimated monthly bill subjectto minimum
of Rs. 1,60,00/- |
II.
L.T. Consumers:
Security
Deposit equivalent to 3 months' estimated bill and
In no case less than
a) Rs. 10 per 0.5 kW for lighting installations..
and...
b) Rs. 15 per BHP connected for motive power Installations.
As the Security Deposits are to be collected from
the Semi Government and autonomous bodies lide M.I.D.C.
as per our rules, if and where the Board is required
to pay similar deposits for any service rendered by
such autonomous bodies to the Board such as water
supply. etc. the same should be paid by the Board.
This above decision has been taken by the Standing
Committee vice its decision No. 2575 dated:9.2.1966.
This supersedes all previous circulars issued by the
Board on the subject matter in the past.
All
the field officers are requested to follow the above
instructions strictly.
