Concession to sick lift irrigation schemes-Both L.T. H.T.
   

     The Board vide Resolution No.1363 dated 14-12-1978 has decided to grant concessions to such sick LIS as are either willing to revive or even those sick LIS which do not want to revive, with a view to avoid further losses to the Board. The Board has also authorised Technical Member (T&D) and Accounts Member to decide such cases of sick LIS. The guide- lines laid down by the Board in this connection were circulated to all the field officers vide circular No.PR3/LIS/ 2809 dated 16-1-1979. These are shown in the enclosed statement.      

     In view of the routine nature and in order to cut down the time taken in deciding such cases, the Board further considered the issue in detail and vide its Resolution No.1603 dated 12-3-1979 has decided to delegate these powers to the Zonal Chief Engineers who are now authorised to decide all such cases of sick LIS in consultation with Dy. Chief Accounts Officer/A.O. of the Zone. However, each case has to be decided strictly in accordance with the guide-lines circulated vide above referred circular.

     
All Division and Circle Offices are hereby directed to refer all cases of sick US to their respective Zonal Chief Engineers for decision and settlement.

     
The financial implications involved in extending the above concessions will have to be brought to the notice of the Board.

      Therefore, information in the prescribed proforma shown should be submitted regularly each quarter to Chief Engineer (RE & Com) below:

     
The information for Quarter ending June 1979 should reach this office by the second week of July 1979.
