The power loom owners from Bhiwandi (Dist. Thane) had represented for giving a single common service connection for connecting the load sanctioned to different power loom owners in one premises on the basis that power loom owners would form a group and give their respective power looms on lease for mutually agreed period to one party from the group so that one connection can be taken by that party and power utilised by that group of power looms taken lease by the said party.

This said procedure was followed by the former Bhiwandi Licensee in their area which was continued by the Board in the Ex- licensee's area even after take- over by the Board with effect from 1-10-1978.

The issue was considered by the Board for extending the same facility to other areas and in accordance with the clause 24 (ii) of the Board's Conditions of Supply, the Board vide B.R. No. 1662 dt. 30-3-1979 has approved the proposal to grant a single connection in Bhiwandi Taluka (including the ex-licensee's area) or anywhere in the state, in the name of a single power loom owner for and on behalf of a group of power loom owners who would be in the same premises and would all avail motive power supply from the said single connection and a common meter.

This should be done after ascertaining that the legal formalities of leasing the power looms in the name of the said individual applicant are complete and after obtaining the necessary written undertaking from all the applicants on a stamped paper of Rs. 5/- as is being obtained in the Ex. Licensee's area. A copy of the undertaking being used for the purpose in the Ex-licensee' area is enclosed.

All the concerned field officers are requested to take note of the above.
