Departmental Circular (Com.) No. 344

Sub  : Quarterly statement showing the position of arrears due from both H.T. & L.T. consumers.


Under this office departmental circular No. 318 issued under this office letter No. PG-1 49/057209 dt. 26.12.1978 by which the details of arrears due from both HT and L.T. consumers are being compiled and submitted to the Board every Quarter.

It is observed that some of the circles are not giving full details, and reasons as per the said circular against each consumer having arrears of Rs. 25,000/- and above.

As such, it is instructed to all the circle offices to include the following information in addition to the details as per the circular mentioned above.

1. Reason for accumulation of arrears & period of arrears.
2.
Date of disconnection temporarily/permanently,

3.

Reason for non-disconnection of supply, if the supply has not been disconnected for non-payment of arrears as per Board Rules.

4.

Action taken for recovery of arrears. Please give the details on the following points.
5.
a) Reference number and date of notice issued for recovery of arrears.
 
b) legal Notice if issued by the Advocate/Legal practitioner, please quote its number
    and date.
 
c) Details of references number, date, if the case is referred to Zonal/H.O. offices for     necessary action in this regard.
 
d) Civil Suit Number, date etc.in court of law.
6.
Details of instalment granted to sick units/other consumers.

7.

Please state whether instalments granted are regularly paid. If not please give instalment numbers and total amount paid.
8.
If there is default in payment of instalments, the following details should be given.
 
a) Number of instalments and amount not paid.
 
b) Action taken for recovery of unpaid instalments.

9.

If the cases have been referred to Zonal/H.O. the reference number, date and purposes for which referred etc. must be given.
10.
Any other additional information if any.
