SCHEDULE I

   (Embodied in B.M.R.D. Act 1974)

The Bombay Metropolitan Region shall comprise the whole of thearea of Greater Bombay and the parts of Thana and Kolaba Districts within the following boundaries, namely:

WEST
-
Arabian Sea.
NORTH
-
Tansa River.
EAST
-

Eastern limits of Kalyan & Bhiwandi Talukas, upto  the foot hills of Sahyadri in Karjat Taluka.

SOUTH
-

Patalganga river uptovillages Apta and Gulsunde,  and then eastern boundary of the following villages of Pen Taluka:-

Dusvi, Koshankhar, Nindharkhar, Navkhar, kharbeloli, Beloli, Ambivali, Davansar, Ramraj, Dhavte, and then southern boundary of the following villages of Pen Taluka:-

Vadgaon, Maleghar, Kandla, Naygaon and shilottarlang; and then further southern boundary of the  following villages of Alibag Taluka:-

Shahapur, Bhangar, Poyand, Ambeghar, Prigaon, Gan, Gav Tarf Parhar, Sagaon, Taloli, Khandala, Veshvi and Alibag.
