With the Departmental Circular under reference, instructions were conveyed for leasing out the sole right of fixing kiosks for display of advertisements on the L.T. poles belonging to the Board, by awarding contract for the same, after inviting tenders. One of the conditions of the contract therein is that the contract should be awarded on year to year basis.

          It is observed that since contractors require about 3-4 months for establishing the fixtures and the investment to be made by them would also be considerable, the period of contract of one year would be insufficient and we may not get satisfactory response from the advertising agencies.

        It is therefore decided that the period of contract should be made 2 years from the date of awarding the contract.

          You are requested to take necessary action accordingly.

          If contract has already been awarded to some agency in any of your areas, the above change in the conditions of contract should be made effective after the expiry of the present contractual period.
