Sub  : 

Supply to Agricultural pumps releasing of connection against payment from consumers towards cost of such connections.

The issue of giving L.T. Service Connection on payment of cost of 12 number of spans required to connect the premises of the consumers has been discussed in the Board and the Board vide B.R.No. 251 Dt. 18-12-83 decided to modify the earlier decision taken under B.R. No. 84 Dt. 25-10-82 (Communicated vide Circular No. 375 Dt. 28-12-82) as follows:
 
1.

The consumers who want the service connections for their agricultural pumps on priority and offer to make payment of deposits as stated hereunder may be permitted to deposit the prescribed amount as applicable with the Board, in addition to the normal service connection charges and security deposit payable by them as per rules.

This facility of giving L.T.Agril connection on priority on payment of prescribed amount of deposit as above should be made applicable to those connections only where service connection can be given by extending service spans up to maximum of four.

3.

Such connections should be given within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of payment.

4.

The terms of refund of amount of deposit so paid by the consumer and other instructions issued under Departmental Circular (Commercial) No. 375 Dt. 28-12-82 will remain the same.

5.

For larger pumps above 7.5 H.P. addl. amount over the above amount should be collected i.e. 2,500/- additional for 10 H.P. pumps and extra Rs. 1,500/- for each 2.5 HP above 10 H. P.


The Board has further decided that a list of the consumers who have paid the service connection charges should be prepared and exhibited in the Sub-Divisional offices and Sectional offices for information of the consumers to know their position.
