Sub  : 

Postponement of recovery of electricity bills of
 agriculture consumers in flood affected areas.

 

The matter of postponement of recovery of electricity bills from agricultural consumers in flood-affected areas in the State was examined by the State Govt. and as per Govt. directives, it is to inform that recovery of electricity bills of agricultural consumers in flood-affected areas should be postponed for a period of six months. As already advised by the Chairman in the recent review meeting at Bombay, no disconnection of supply is to be done for arrears in respect of the flood-affected agricultural consumers for the period of next six months.

All the concerned field officers are requested to note the above instructions carefully.

The Govt. letter in this connection is copied on the reverse for your information.

The question of postponement of recovery of electricity bills from agricultural consumers in flood-affected areas in the State was examined by Government. Government has decided that recovery of electricity bills of agricultural consumers in flood-affected areas should be postponed for a period of six months. You are, therefore, requested to take action accordingly. Action taken may please be communicated to this Department.
