Concessions
to sick industrial consumers-partial
modification.

The
concessionsto sick industrial unitsare at present given
according to the guidelines prescribed under Departmental
Circulars (Comm.) Nos. 352 and352 A. The Board has now approved
a partial modification in the guideline No. 6 of the Departmental
circular (Comm.) No. 352 vide its resolution No. 1664 of
17.9.85 by reducing instalments to only 12. Accordingly
the guideline No.6 shall nowlread as follow:

"6)
The amount due from the sick unit after giving concessions
will be paid by the Unit in equal monthly instalments
not exceeding 12 (Twelve). Interest on diminishing
balances will be 18% per annum. Any default in payment
will invite Delayed Payment Charges and interest as
per rules."

The
guideline No.6 issued under Dept. Circular (Comm.) No. 352
should be treated as superceded by the above and all cases
of sick industrial units should be dealt accordingly, in
future.
