............Cinematograph Exhibitors'Association of India have represented that while releasing the service connection and power supply to the touring cinemas generally supply is given on temporary basis. The Association has now stated that the touring cinemas are being permitted by State Government to function at the same place upto a period of 5 years as per the Govt. Circular from Home Department No. BCR-5384/3179/SPL-5 dt. 20th October 1984. Therefore, they have requested that the supply may be given to the touring cinemas on regular basis as they can take supply for a period of more than two years at one place.
  

............It is presumed that the supply was given on temporary basis to the touring cinemas as they did not agree to take the supply for a minimum period of two years at one location as per the general requirement of the Board when supply is to be given on regular basis. Therefore, in view of the above position, in case of a touring cinema applies for supply on regular basis and agrees to take power supply for a minimum period of two years at one location, power supply may be released on regular basis after completion of all formalities like a regular cinema connection; but with adequate security deposit. However, in case a touring cinema wants supply for a period of less than two years, then the supply will be on temporary basis.
