in the drought affected areas... a clarification.

Ref :
Deptt. Circular (Com) Nos. 415 and 418

............A question has been raised thatwhile giving concessions to the Khariff affected villages identified by the Govt. whether the concession in minimum charges should be given for the entire year or only for the six months period representing Khariff or Rabbi season.

............It is clarified in respect of the above that since the drought/scarcity conditions are created on account of monsoon failure and its eff ect continues for the whole year: the concession to ag. consumers whether Khariff aff ected or Rabbi affected should be given for the entire year for which the Govt. has declared paisewari of 50/60 paise in respect of the villages identified.
