............The
Govt. vide letter No. SAC/1987/CR/1859/NRG-5 dated
13.11.87 had forwarded a revised list specifying 31
types of industries which are required to obtain N.O.C.
from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Environmental
Dept. before release of supply. This was circulated
to all concerned vide Deptt. Circular No. 429 referred
above.
............The
Govt. has now informed us vide their letter No.SAC/1087/CR/1859/NRG-5
dtd. 11.4.88 that the above referred Govt. directives
dtd. 13.11.87 stands cancelled and are superceded
by the revised directives given in the same letter
dtd. 11.4.1988. A copy of the said Govt. letter dtd.
11.4.88 alongwith its enclosure (a list specifying
31 types of industries. ) are enclosed* for ready
reference.
It can be
seen from the above directives that.

(a) |
Medium and large scale industries which fall
under the all industries specified in the said
list are required to obtain N.O.C./Clearance
from M.P.C.13 as well as Environmental Deptt.
before power supply is released to them.

(b) |
S.S.I.
Industries falling under the 31 industries specified
in the list are required to obtain clearance/NOC
from the M.P.C.B. only and clearance from Environment
Deptt. is not necessary.

| (2) |
All medium and large scale industries are required
to obtain NOC/Clearance from MPCB/Environmental
Deptt. even if they do not fall under any of
the categories now specified by the Govt.

| (3) |
All
Small Scale industries which do not fall under
any of these 31 categories are required to submit
an application to the M.P.C.B. as per the prescribed
format and after confirming that such an application
is submitted, further action for supply of power
to them can be taken.

| (4) |
Small Scale Chemical Industries which are not
located in the sea coast area are required to
obtain NOC from the M.P.C.B. before power is
given
|
|
The
Govt. directives may be noted and followed scrupulously.
