  PR-3-/C-Class Municipality/6656
Maharashtra State Elect. Board Prakashgad, 4th floor, Bandra- (E), Bombay- 400 051.
Dt. Feb. 2st, 1989

  Departmental Circular (Com) No. 446

Sub :

Power supply to 'C' class Municipalities-Computation
of connected load by excluding the stand by motor.

............Various 'C' class Municipalities have represented to the Board as well as the State Government requesting that they may be billed at the concessional tariff which is being made applicable to the Rural Drinking Water Supply Schemes and also to exclude the stand by motors installed by them from the total connected load for the purpose of billing. While their request for application of concessional tariff has not been acceded to, their request for exclusion the load of the standby motor from the connected load has been agreed to and the Board vide B.R.No. 1289 dated 12.1.1989 has approved as follows:

............"If the water supply scheme of 'C' class Municipalities has a standby motor connected with another motor with a double throw change over switch approved by the Board, then relief should be given in billing to the Municipalities by excluding the load of the standby motor while computing the connected load for the purpose of billing w.e.f. the billing month of January 1989".

All concerned are requested to bring this to the notice of all the 'C' class of Municipalities in their jurisdiction so as to enable them to take action for installation of suitable double throw switch, if already not installed, and to avail the facility of excluding the load of standby motor for computing the connected load for the purpose of billing.
