Departmental Circular (Com) No. 448

 

........ ............In view of the above modifications issued so far the correct uptodate position in respect of NOC to be obtained from MPCB and Environment Department in the case of industries is as follows:
  
1. a.

Medium and large scale industries which fall under the 31 industries specified in the said list (see 4 above) are required to obtain (NOC/Clearance from MPCB as well as Environment Department before power supply is released to them.
  

  b.

SSI industries failling under the 31 industries specified in the list are required to obtain clearance/NOC from the MPCB only and clearance from Environment Department is not necessary.
  

2.

Medium & large scale industries which do not fall under any of the 31 industries specified by the Govt. are required to obtain clearance/NOC from the MPCB whereas clearance from the Environment Department is not necessary.
  

3.

All small scale industries which do not fall under any of these 31 categories are required to submit an application in the prescribed format to the MPCB for getting NOC/ clearance and after confirming that such an application is submitted, further action for supply of power to them can be taken.
  

4.

Small scale chemical industries which are not located in the coastal area are required to obtain NOC/clearance from the MPCB before power supply is given.
  

............Member Secretary, MPCB vide letter No. WP/TB/B/3389 dt. 29-10-88 has further clarified that the electronic units not carrying out surface treatment like electro-plating etc. need only apply to MPCB for NOC/clearance and that the power supply may be given on getting proof of such application having been made to MPC6 without waiting for its clearance.
  

............These instructions are to be complied with scrupulously by all the concerned.

............In view of the above suitable action may be taken in respect of all applicants for industrial power as far as NOC/clearance from MPCB and Environment Department is concerned.
