Subject:            “SANMAN SCHEME” ---- Extension thereof.

            Salient features of the scheme, known as “SANMAN SCHEME” have been informed to the field offices vide Departmental Circular (Commercial) No. 673 dated 15/03/2003. This Scheme is meant for immediate power supply to the persons seeking new service connections for Residential / Non – Residential purpose, for a maximum demand not more than 3000 watts. Time limit for accepting the applications under the scheme was extended up to 31/07/2003 as per Departmental Circular (Commercial) No. 678 dated 05/07/2003.

            Initially the “SANMAN SCHEME” covered new service connections in urban area. It is now decided to extend the scope of the Scheme to Urban as well as Rural area and keep open for accepting the applications under this Scheme between 15/10/2003 to 15/11/2003. Wide publicity should be given well in advance and all efforts may be taken to ensure that enough response is received against this Scheme. It shall however be note that all other provisions of the “SANMAN SCHEME” will remain unchanged.

            All field officers are requested to take due note of the above and are further requested to effective implementation of the Scheme.
