                        GENERAL CIRCULAR (COMMERCIAL) NO. 390

            Sub:-            Rate of interest on Security Deposit paid by Consumer's as

                        per the condition No.22 of Condition & Miscellaneous Charges

                        for supply of Electrical Energy for the year 2003-2004.

            As per the provision of Condition No. 22 under Condition & Miscellaneous Charges for supply of Electrical Energy, the rate of interest, on Security Deposit paid by the consumer's by Cash/DD/Cheques amounting to Rs.50/- or more against the energy bills is to be paid as per the Post Office Saving Bank Account rate. This rate for the year 2003-2004 is Rs.3.5% per annum.

            Interest on Security Deposit against energy bill be worked out accordingly for the year 2003-2004 and paid / adjusted as per rules.
