13. Consumer's apparatus :

a) Low Tension Consumers:

     In the case of low tension consumer, the consumer must in all cases provide linked quick-break mains switches and/main fuse on each pole other than the earthed neutral, which must be erected within one meter of the Board's meter board or in such other position as shall be approved by the Board.

b) High Tension Consumers:

In the case of high tension consumers
1) For loads upto 1000 KVA the consumer shall provide fast acting expulsion type D.O. cutout with fast acting fuse elements alongwith Air Break switch which shall be subject to approval by Board's Engineer.

2) For a load of more than 1000 KVA and upto & including 2000 KVA on 11 KV & upto and including 3000 KVA on 22/23 KV, the consumers need not provide an O.C.B. but should provide high rupturing capacity fuses of prescribed grade and quality and A.B. Switch on H.T. side.

3) 1 n all other cases suitable circuit breakers must be installed on the supply side fitted with automatic overload protective devices so adjusted that they operate before the overload protective devices in the Board's terminal cubical and further must be of sufficient rupturing capacity to be specified by the Board to protect consumer's installations under short circuit conditions.

     In either case, suitable automatic circuit breakers of a make approved by the Board must be installed on the low tension side of the transformers or on each feeder.
