5. Service line charges - Low  tension permanent supply other than agricultural pumping loads :


 

b) Underground Service Line :

i) Where Board's overhead distribution system exists, the actual cost of material anc labour plus 15% to cover overhead charges.

ii) Where Board's underground distribution system exists. Same as in (i) above unlesE any separate scale of charges are prescribed.

     The service connection charges are payable in advance for the overhead servicE lines at the rate prescribed at (a) above and for underground services in case of be above on an estimated basis, subject to adjustment on completion of the work or the basis of actual cost plus 15%.

     The service line shall be normally laid ovehead where Board's overhead distributior system exists. Underground service line may be provided (where Board's overhea( distribution system exists) at the discretion of the Board only where the condition,, so warrant.

** " The service connection charges for extending ovehead or underground power suppl, should not be recovered from backward class consumers. i. e. schedule caste schedule tribes nomadic tribes, denotified tribes (Vimukta Jaties) and Nav Budha! for Domestic light and fan connections. Wherever there are multistoried buildings complexes having both backward class and non-backward class consumers thl prorata service connection charges due from backward class consumers shall onl, be exempted from payment."

 

c) Two phase service connection would be charged as for 3 phase supply :

Note :
1 . Variable charge is leviable only for that portion of the overhead line which is in excess of 30 metres which is allowed free of cost to the consumer including the portion in ffi consumer's premises.

*2. The variable charges include the cost of any pole other than the terminal pole whic may have to be installed beyond. 7.5 metres of the consumer's premises. Terminal pol when required i. e. when the overhead service line cannot be terminated on the structur of the consumer and it becomes necessary to install a pole will be charged at th rate of Rs. 500/- per PSC pole and at the rate of Rs. 1200/- per RSJ pole which charge includes the cost of pole, erection and supervision charges.

3. The overhead service connection charges shown above include the cost of that portio of the service line laid on the consumer's premises in G. 1. Pipe or conduit and/or on wooden batten, from the overhead terminal point of the service line at the frontage of the premises upto the meter board.

4. a) Where a service connection is already provided on a buildig and other tenants in th same building want to have independent connection as seperate and direct consumei of the Board, the service connection will be provided by tapping the existing servic in accordance with condition 11 (d) hereof and the charges payable will be as under.
