Service
connection for low tension supply :
|

The Board provides
overhead service line free of cost upto 30 metres
of service line from its nearest distributing main
for purpose other than agricultural pumping. For agricultural
pumping purposes the Board provides overhead service
line free of cost upto 300 metres. The details of
the charges payable by consumers requiring permanent
supply have been described in conditions 4 to 7 of
the Conditions of supply of the Board.
Extension
or additions if any to meet increased demands will
be charged
at the actual cost of materials and labour plus 15%
to cover overhead charges. The service connection
charges are payable in advance before this work is
carried out.

Temporary
Service Connection :

Temporary
service connecion at L. T. will be given subject
to the following conditions.
|
| A) |
Single
phase supply upto 5 KW |
| i) |
Period
of supply :
|
Supply
will be giyen for a period not exceeding one month
but the supply can be extended for further periods
not exceeding one month on each occasion provided
surplus power is available.
The definition of month
shall be as under "Month means the calender month
when the period commences
from the begining of a calencler month otherwise
a period of 30 days".

In
addition, the actual total cost involved for giving
connection (Labour & Materials plus 15 per-cent
overhead charges) shall be recovered from the consumer.
When the service is removed the labour cost for
dismantling shall be charged to the consumer who
will be allowed a credit for all the materials returned
in servicebale condition at the actual cost less
25 percent depreciation for the first month or part
thereof and 6.25 percent for each subsequent month/limited
to total 100% depreciation. A deposit will be taken
prior to the commencement of supply to cover the
above charges and adjustments, if any, effected
after the service has been removed.
