Low Pressure Piping  System

1)   Bids are invited for the works of Low Pressure Piping System for Paras TPS Expansion Unit –1, 1x250 MW

2) SCOPE OF WORK	:	Design, engineering, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, receipt, handling & storage at site, civil works, erection, testing, commissioning and handing over for Low Pressure Piping system with all accessories and auxiliaries as prescribed in the bid document.

Cost of one set of bid documents	:	Indian Rs.10,000/- Non-refundable.
Pre bid Conference on	:	03-09-2005 at 11.00 Hrs.
Period of sale of bid documents	:	From 11-08-2005  To  25-08-2005
Last date and time for receipt of bids	:	13-09-2005 up to 12.30 Hrs.
Due date and time for opening of bids	:	Cover No. One : 14.30Hrs. Cover No. Two - will be intimated later.

4)         QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:

The  bid is open for participation  to those Bidders who  satisfy  the following requirements :i)      The bidder who has designed, supplied, erected and successfully  comissioned  the Low Pressure Piping comprising   of carbon steel  pipes and / or  stainless steel pipes / rubber lined pipes  for  water systems such as D.M. Service and Drinking,  Cooling for  Auxiliaries  and Service and Instrument  Air applications   for atleast one  no. of Power Station or  identical industry.   Such piping  system  should have been of not less than 100mm  dia  and of minimum  length of 3 Km.  with associated  valves and instruments  and should be in successful  operation  for past  two years  as reckoned  on the date set for opening  of bid.   The bidder has to furnish documentary  evidence  for the above.ii)                  The bidder shall have established  testing facilities  at his works  / site for  Low Pressure Piping System for the above size. iii)        The average  turn over of the bidder shall be minimum  Rs. 1.3 crore  per year  for the preceding 3 years  including  year  2004-2005.iv)        In case the bidder is a Jt. Venture (J.V.) company the experience of any of the member companies of the joint venture shall be considered for meeting  the qualification requirements. In such an eventually the necessary documents having registered as a joint venture company and the apportion of responsibilities of various members of the joint venture should be submitted alongwith the bid.  In case of joint venture members, the balance sheet and profit and loss A/c & certified average turnover amount for the past proceeding 3 years should be furnished alongwith the bid. v)                  Bidders forming consortium arrangement or associates shall  not be considered             (entertained) 5.0       Bids not fulfilling the qualifying requirements specified above & not accompanied with the prescribed bid security shall be summarily rejected.  The bidder shall submit the bid security equivalent to Indian Rupees 1,70,00.000/- (Indian Rupees One Lakh Seventythousand  only) alongwith the bid, valid till 210 days from the date of opening of Cover No. One of the bid. Interested eligible bidders may obtain the bid from the office of the Chief Engineer (Gen.P&P) from 14.00 Hrs. to 16.00 Hrs. on payment of the specified amount by crossed demand draft payable to, Maharashtra State Power Generation Co. Ltd., Prakashgad, 2^nd floor, Bandra (East), Mumbai-400 051 and furnishing the cash receipt to Chief Engineer (Gen.P&P) on 3^rd Floor with an appropriate authorisation & a requisition for bid documents giving complete postal address of the bidder.  MSEB shall not be responsible for any postal delay, if desired by post. MSEB does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any of the bids. MSEB reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids without assigning any reason thereof.
