INVITATION FOR BID

(LOCAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING)

1.         Bids are invited for the works   Paras Thermal Power Station Expn. U-1, 1x250 MW

2.         SCOPE OF WORK:

Design, engineering, manufacture, testing at works supply, delivery to site, erection, testing, commissioning and handing over of Ash Handling Plant with all accessories, auxiliaries, civil works, alongwith supply of mandatory spares and one year operation a\& maintenance after commissioning as prescribed in the bid documents.

Cost of one set of bid documents          :           Indian Rs.25000/-Non –refundable.

Period of sale of bid documents            :           From14.06.2005 To 28.06.2005

Pre Bid Conference                              :           06.07.2005

Last date and time for receipt of bids     :           22.07.2005 up to 12.30 Hrs.

Due date and time for opening of bids:   Cover No. One 22.07.2005 –14.30Hrs. Cover No. Two – will be intimated later.

Queries, if any, are to be asked in writing on or before 02.07.2005

4.0        QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:

            The bid is open for participation to those bidders who satisfy the following requirements:

4.1       Bidder should have designed, engineered, manufactured, supplied, erected, tested and commissioned at least one plant for thermal power station of:

a)      Bottom ash handling systems comprising of jet pump system in conjunction with water impounded bottom ash hopper with 60 TPH jet pump capacity.

b)      Pneumatic (Pressure/Vacuum) fly ash handling system of 30 TPH (min.) per stream.

c)      Fly ash slurry disposal system in High Concentrated Slurry form (HCSD) having 60 – 65 % of ash by weight for handling minimum 40 TPH ash.

Further, for the purpose of qualification, the experience at (a), (b) & (c) above in separate plants is also permissible.

4.2              Bidder who is a regular supplier of ash handling system but does not meet the requirements under clause 4.1 in part or full can also get qualified provided he has valid collaboration with the reputed manufacturer / supplier who independently or jointly fulfils the criteria stipulated at 4.1 above as the case may be.

4.3              The above systems as mentioned at 4.1 & 4.2 should be in successful operation for a period of at least one year on the date set for submission of the bid.

4.4              The average annual turnover of the bidder during the last three years should not be less

than Rs.2500 lakhs.

5.0             Interested bidders may obtain bid documents from office of Chief Engineer (Gen.P&P) from 14.00 Hrs. to 16.00 Hrs. on payment of specified amount by crossed demand draft payable to “Maharashtra State Electricity Board ” at Mumbai and furnishing cash receipt to Chief Engineer (Gen.P&P) Bandra (East), Mumbai-400 051  with appropriate authorisation & requisition for bid documents giving complete postal address of bidder.
