CORRIGENDUM INVITING TENDER
FOR ‘ROPE DRUM HOIST’ AS AN ALTERNATIVE OFFER
TENDER SPECIFICATION NO.: CEC/GEN-1/Paras/Expn.Proj /1X250MW / Barrage Gates/HY.Hoist/ T-406
1.00 Sealed and superscribed Lump sum tenders in two separate sealed covers are invited by the Chief Engineer (C) Gen. I, Mumbai from reputed and experienced bidders with the Pre-qualifying requirements as under for the following work, at Paras Thermal Power Station Dist. Akola (Maharashtra State).

Alternative offer for
Design, supply, providing, erection, testing and commissioning of ‘Rope Drum Hoists’ with embedded Parts and including all electrical and mechanical equipments and accessories etc. for radial gates of
Paras Barrage for Thermal Power Station Expansion Project (1x250 MW) at Paras Tq.Balapur Dist. Akola (Maharashtra State)
Earnest Money Deposit :
i ) For Hydraulic Hoist only : Rs.13.20 Lakhs.( Rs.Thirteen lakhs and twenty thousand only)
ii) For Rope Drum Hoist only: Rs. 6.96 Lakhs.( Rs.Six lakhs and ninety six thousand only)
iii) For Hydraulic Hoist And
Rope Drum Hoist both : Rs 13.20 Lakhs.( Rs. Thirteen lakhs and twenty thousand only)
The earnest money shall be in the form of Bank Guarantee as per Company’s prescribed Proforma on Stamp Paper of Rs. 100/-
Time Limit : 6 (six) Months Including Monsoon.
Security Deposit : 5% of the contract value.( In the form of Bank Guarantee )
2.0 PREQUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS :-
2.1 PREQUALIFYING CONDITION NO 1 :
The tenderer and / or his consortium partner should have good reputation and consistent track record in the field of design, manufacture and supply, testing and commissioning of ‘ Rope Drum Hoists’ and should be in this field for not less than last ten years. The Rope drum hoists supplied, erected & commissioned by the tenderer for Radial / vertical gates of spillway at least for two projects shall be in trouble free operation satisfactorily at least for last 3 years. The tenderer should submit the documentary evidence or certificates from the client not below the rank of Ex. Engineer to establish above.
2,2 PREQUALIFYLNG CONDITION NO. 2 :
The lead partner in consortium should have executed successfully and satisfactorily, under a single contract during the period of last ten years, the work of design, supply, providing, erection, testing
and commissioning of ‘Rope Drum Hoists’ of minimum 72 Tons capacity for each gate and at least for
7 numbers radial gate / vertical gate and the Rope Drum Hoist commissioned should be in trouble free operation since its commissioning.
2.3 PREQUALIFYLNG CONDITION NO. 3 :
The average annual turnover of the tenderer during the last 3 years shall not be less than Rs. 4.20 Crores.
NOTE :-THE ISSUE OF TENDER DOCUMENTS DOES NOT NECESSARILY QUALIFY THE TENDERERS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF HIS BID. BEFORE PURCHASING THE BLANK TENDER , THE TENDERER IN THEIR OWN INTEREST SHALL ASCERTAIN AND SATISFY THEMSELVES THAT THEY FULFILL ALL THE ABOVE PRE-QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The tenderer shall furnish necessary documents (original/attested copy) in support of prequalifying criteria specified under 2.0 above alongwith the application for purchasing the tender. If it is found at any time during the tendering process or even after award of contract that the agency has submitted any forged documents regarding pre-qualifying requirements, strict action will be taken as per rules.
3.2 Blank Tender Documents both for hydraulic hoists and rope drum hoists can be obtained by intending tenderers in person against written application, during working days upto 16.00 Hrs. from 3-09-2005 to 15-09-2005 from the Office of the Chief Engineer (C) Gen.I, MSPGCL, Estrella Batteries Expansion Building, 1st Floor, Dharavi Road, Matunga, Mumbai - 19, along with non refundable payment of Rs.10,000/- by Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalised/Scheduled Bank payable at Mumbai in favour of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd., towards the issue of a set of Blank Tender Documents. Blank tender documents will not be sent by post/courier.
Additional copy of the tender documents shall be issued for Rs.5000 /-, if desired which however shall be marked as ‘Extra Copy' and shall not be valid for tendering
Tenders (cover no I & cover no II ) duly filled in as per the procedure stipulated in the tender document, Sealed and Superscribed, will be received on 26-09-2005 upto 13.00 hours at Conference Hall, Gen.P&P Section, Third Floor, Prakashgad, Bandra (East), Mumbai and Cover No. I (Pre-qualifying documents) will be opened at 14.30 hours on the same day, if possible, in the presence of the tenderers or their authorised representative. In case the above date happens to be a Public Holiday, the immediate next working day will hold good in lieu of the date mentioned. Tenders shall be submitted only in person. Tenders sent by post/courier will not be accepted.
The right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever is reserved by the Board.
Important Note;- The bidders who have already purchased tender document for Hydraulic Hoist will be issued the documents for the alternative offer without any additional cost. Also no E. M. D. charges will be required to be paid by the bidders who has already submitted the E.M.D. for Hydraulic Hoist. The bidders may quote for Hydraulic Hoists or Rope Drum Hoists or for both as per their bidding qualifications.
