TENDER NOTICE
Tender Specification No. CGM(C)/Gen.I/New Parli/Drainage System/T-411
1.0 Sealed and superscribed percentage rate tenders in two separate sealed covers are invited by the Chief General Manager (C) Gen.I, Mumbai from the reputed and experienced bidders with the pre-qualifying requirements as under for the following works at New Parli Thermal Project, Dist./Beed (Maharashtra State).
NAME OF WORK : Providing Main Storm Water drainage arrangement for Thermal Power Station area at New Parli Thermal Power Station Project.
ESTIMATED COST Rs. 2,66,84,405=00
EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT : Rs. 2,66,850=00 (in the form of
Bank Guarantee of Scheduled/
Nationalised Bank as per company’s prescribed proforma on stamp paper of Rs. 100/-).
TIME LIMIT : 6 months including Monsoon period.
SECURITY DEPOSIT : 5% (five percent) of the contract value in the form of B.G. of Scheduled/Nationalised Bank as per company’s prescribed proforma on stamp paper of Rs. 100/-
2.0 Pre-qualifying Requirements :
2.01 Pre-qualifying Condition No. 1 :-
The tenderer shall be registered in appropriate class in Government/Public Sector Undertakings.
2.02 Pre-qualifying Condition No. 2 :-
The tenderer as a main contractor should have executed satisfactorily under a single contract during last 5(five) years, the work of similar nature i.e. construction of R.C.C. drains or providing and laying of R.C.C. pipes and having completed value not less than Rs. 214 lakhs.
OR
The average annual turn-over of the tenderer during the preceding 3 (three) years in executing work of similar nature i.e. construction of R.C.C. drains or providing and laying of R.C.C. pipes shall not be less than Rs. 214 lakhs.
3.0 THE ISSUE OF TENDER DOCUMENTS DOES NOT NECESSARILY QUALIFY THE TENDERERS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF THEIR BID.
Before purchasing the tender, the tenderers in their own interest shall ascertain and satisfy themselves that they fulfil the above pre-qualifying conditions. The tenderer should also note that the tender of the tenderer who does not comply and fulfill the above pre-qualifying conditions shall not be considered and evaluated. The tenderers will have to furnish the following documents in original or attested copies along with the application for purchasing, the blank tender document. If it is found at any time during the tendering process or even after award of contract that the agency has submitted any forged documents regarding Pre-qualifying requirements, strict action will be taken against tenderer/contractor as per rules.
(i) Valid registration certificate from the concerned organization under the appropriate class (Any certificate of the department about having applied for registration shall not be considered as substitute for valid registration certificate).
(ii) The certificate from the officer-in-charge of the concerned Department not below the rank of Executive Engineer, about having completed satisfactorily the work of similar nature in single contract specified in Pre-qualifying Condition No. 2.02 above during last 5 years.
(iii) An attested copy of the annual turn over certificate for last 3 years from the Chartered Accountant along with attested copies of certificates from the Officer-in-charge of the concerned Departments not below the rank of Executive Engineer about having completed satisfactorily works of similar nature with average annual turn over of not less than the values Specified in Pre-qualifying Condition No. 2.02 above as applicable.
(iv) Solvency Certificate for Rs. 67 lakhs.
(v) Valid Sales Tax/Works Contract Tax Registration Certificate.
Blank Tender Documents indicating conditions of contract,schedules and instructions to tenderers in the prescribed form can be obtained by intending tenderers in person against written application during working days upto 16.00 Hrs. from 2-11-2005 to 19-11-2005 from the Office of Chief General Manager (C) Gen.I, MSPGCL., Estrella Batteries Expansion Building, 1st Floor, Dharavi Road, Matunga, Mumbai – 400 019, along with a non refundable payment of Rs. 10,000/- only by Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled Bank payable at Mumbai in favour of Maharashtra State Power Gen. Co. Ltd., towards the issue of a set of Blank Tender Documents. Blank tender documents will not be sent by post/courier.
Additional set of the tender documents shall be issued for Rs. 5,000/- per set, if desired which, however, shall be marked as ‘Extra Copy’ and shall not be valid for tendering.
Tenders (Cover No. 1 & Cover No.2) duly filled in as per the procedure stipulated in the tender document Sealed and Superscribed, will be received upto 13.00 hours on 21-11-2005 at Conference Hall, Gen. P&P Section, Third floor, Prakashgad, Bandra (East), Mumbai. Cover No. I (pre-qualifying documents)/Cover No.II will be opened at 14.30 hours on the same day, if possible, in the presence of such of the tenderers or their authorized representative who may choose to remain present. In case the above dates happen to be/become to be a Public Holiday, the immediate next working day will hold good in lieu of the date mentioned. Tenders shall be submitted only in person. Tenders sent by post/courier will not be accepted.
The right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever is reserved by the Company.
